Description: Banquet-24.jpgWelcome to the 2012 Rotary year. I would like to invite you to visit The Rotary Club of Windermere. If you are interested in the Rotary philosophy of “Service Above Self,” networking with other professionals, serving the community, making great social contacts, participating in the extraordinary work of the worldwide association that is Rotary International, or if it just time to give back … this is the club for you.

The club meets every Tuesday morning at 6:54 AM at the very center of Windermere, in the historic Town Hall. The coffee is hot, the breakfast is exemplary and the fellowship is second to none.

Our Club is made up of a unique, diverse and dedicated group who live the Rotary motto, “Service Above Self.”

Windermere Rotary members share a commitment to support this year’s international Rotary theme of “Peace Through Service,” by applying their individual strengths, creativity and combined efforts to the needs of the club, community and the world. We do this in many ways; the most visible is engaging in fundraisers, the proceeds of which go to a selection of charities, projects and international endeavors, including the Habitat for Humanity Home at Last project and the Rotary International End Polio Now effort.

The first major fundraising event takes place November 15, 2012. Our Lobster, Laughter & Lend a Hand dinner event has become a fixture on the fall “must attend” calendar. The spring Festival Among the Lakes brings thousands to the shores of Big Lake Down in Windermere for three fun days of music, food and entertainment. Beyond those two major projects are many small but significant hands-on endeavors that keep us happily working together for the benefit of others.

In our 44th year, the Rotary Club of Windermere is one of 49 clubs (and growing) in Rotary District 6980 of Central Florida. We are proud to say that, after all this time, we are outstanding in this association of great Rotarians, and getting better.

Description: endpolio.jpgWe do not do this alone. Appreciation goes to outstanding partners, sponsors and community members that work with us and believe in what we do.

Come take a look. Ask for me when you come to visit!

2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?

3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
